What our students say about us

I was drawn to the course to deepen my understanding of meditation and mind-body practices and explore how they could enhance stress regulation, resilience and holistic wellbeing. I did not fully anticipate the depth of personal and professional growth this training would offer. My journey with BIYOME was immersive and experiential, providing practical teaching skills alongside profound self-awareness and insight. I plan to integrate my psychotherapy training with meditation practice to help clients regulate stress, cultivate self-awareness and support holistic wellbeing, fostering a space of compassionate connection. The training has strengthened my emotional resilience, mindfulness and confidence in guiding others. Personally, I feel more grounded and self-aware, and professionally, I am better equipped to support clients with evidence-informed, mind-body approaches.
Remy Torving (OL330MTT)
Thank you so much to you and your team for the beautiful training, excited to step forward more deeply with my clients.
Ashton DuPree (OLHLL08)
I was drawn to BIYOME through the recommendation of a yoga teacher and yoga therapist whose depth of knowledge and integrity I respect. Having already completed the Mental Health subject with BIYOME, I had experienced the calibre of teaching and the intellectual depth of the curriculum. It was evident that this was not surface-level learning. It was rigorous, relevant and evidence based. What distinguished this certification was its integration of ancient yogic wisdom with contemporary biomedical science. The 24-month structure was flexible enough to cater for unexpected circumstances... Beyond technique, BIYOME has deepened my understanding that compassionate container and connection in my role. To sit with another human being in presence, to listen without judgement, and to offer practices that empower rather than impose. This is the heart of the work. Professionally, BIYOME has elevated my scope of practice. Including confidence with teaching classes for specific populations (particularly mental health). Plus offering one on one sessions face to face and online to people on the other side of the world!.. BIYOME has given me more than a qualification. It has offered an expanded way of seeing, serving and being. It has been intellectually rigorous, professionally empowering and deeply life-enriching. I am grateful to have trained within a program that honours tradition, embraces contemporary science, and inspires genuine transformation from the inside out.

I was drawn to BIYOME because I had completed my 660-hour Masters in Meditation Teaching, which was truly life-changing. That experience felt like a portal opening into something more, and I wanted to explore the meditative qualities within physical asana... Having experienced longer courses with BIYOME in the past, I knew what to expect from Celia and her dedication to providing depth and a well-rounded experience. What sets BIYOME apart is the balance it strikes: while being held by the course structure and instructors, there’s a level of maturity and independence offered to students. The combination of live in-person intensives—which absolutely emphasise being in the moment, being in the practice, setting the note-taking aside for full immersion—with an extensive library of background references and resource materials means every aspect of the course is thoroughly covered... To anyone contemplating diving into a course with BIYOME: do it. It will change your life, and you never know the ripple effect it could have on those around you and the communities you find yourself in. Your investment in yourself, in this way, is a gift to the world.

I was looking for a Yoga Teacher training Course that might delve deeper into revealing the functional mechanisms (the WHY & HOW) of Yoga and Meditation. My first reading of the outline of the BIYOME 200IYTT Integrative Yoga Teacher Training totally inspired me; with the list of incredibly diverse and interesting subjects, the images of the stunningly beautiful Yoga Studio in Upper Brookfield, Qld, the outline of BIYOME's highly credentialed Faculty of Teachers, and the supportive and like-minded Community prompted me to enrol without any hesitation. The 12month course has been so much more than what I initially expected. It has taken me on a journey of not only extensive theoretical learning and unforgettable practical experiences; but has opened me to a deeply insightful path of self-reflection and personal transformation. I am a very different person now to who I was at the commencement of this course. As such, I would like to extend my heartfelt thanks and gratitude to Celia and the amazing Facilitators of the Course Intensives, for the open sharing of their endless knowledge, transformative wisdom, and kindness of spirit. I can't recommend BIYOME's courses highly enough, on both a personal and professional level.
Barbara Utech (200IYTT)
Well I was thinking what could not be better than learning and studying with my favourite yoga teacher about yoga in India where it's all from... I din't have any expectations in particular. It was amazing to be able to learn while being in heart of where it's all from. It was like bringing it more alive and learning at every moment of the day and night. In ever situation that happened in life during that period. Plus on top of that you got the additional intensive days on the courses we did back home. Couldn't have been more perfect... I believe the journey is so so much longer, never ending and for the rest of my life. I guess that's a very big thing, it's thought me, as in opened up the door to endless ness. Which might sound weird and scary but I feel it's exciting. I want to learn more but I now realise it's going to take a long time but that's ok. Meet the most amazing people, were bonds that I still don't know were it will take us one day. Probably more awareness, observation and if you let if flow it will turn out the way it's supposed to be and it will be the right way. But patience is needed and trust, sometimes it's hard but nothing is permanent.
Laura Johansson Salagean (350YATT)
I was drawn to BIYOME for its reflective, integrative approach to meditation as a lifestyle practice rather than a technique or treatment. The training deepened my conceptual understanding of embodiment, attention, and contemplative practice, and provided language for thinking about mind–body integration alongside psychological frameworks.
Alex Georgeou (OL110MTT)
This course in the culmination of a journey of a number of years. What initially drew me to BIYOME was its foundation in science. I love the idea of utilising my understanding of the somatic in the work I do as a psychologist - even though I can't actively use yoga in my psychology work, the knowledge that I now possess around the interelatedness is invaluable. I feel like I will use this knowledge and training up ahead. With an intention of running retreats for business women, I feel that I will be able to offer yoga and meditation that I know I will have a solid foundation in. I will also begin to use the mindfulness, meditation and compassionate connection compenents in my online work - where this kind of connection can often be more difficult. I feel like my training with BIYOME has been life changing, I have loved the learning, beyond just the asana, and that I will carry this forward both professionally and personally. Thank you for all you offer and give to the world Celia.
Belinda Bayliss (500YTT)
The combination of yoga and ayurveda teacher training beginning where it all began in India. The India trip was a real highlight of this course for me being able to understand and experience the roots of these practices. I saw this opportunity very last minute and knew immediately that it was "right" for me. I had no idea when I signed up for this course, how much I would learn and how much it would change how I see myself, others and life. Having the theory backed by science allowed for much deeper learning and understanding. I knew nothing of ayurveda before this course but now want to learn more. The whole course has been fantastic!

Dear Celia, Ineta & BIYOME-Team, Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your warm congratulations and for sending my certificates. Finding your institute was a truly pivotal moment in my life — your training, your approach, and the depth of your teaching have shaped me in ways I will always carry with gratitude. I am sincerely thankful for everything I learned with you.
Karin Aeby (OL350RYTT)
My time with BIYOME has deepened my understanding of Yoga as a living practice—one that supports both inner and outer transformation. It has encouraged me to live more mindfully, to teach with greater awareness and compassion, and to see the natural connections between Yoga, meditation, and Ayurveda as a complete path of wellbeing. I’ve begun sharing with my students that Yoga is much more than āsana and hope to continue nurturing that understanding. Through my own study and practice, I’ve come to see how Yoga, meditation, and Ayurveda can gently support healing and balance, and I wish to share this with care and compassion within my community.
Valerie Adamson (OL150ATT)
I would like to sincerely thank you for the wonderful experience and the invaluable support you provided throughout this learning journey. When I first enrolled in the course, I wasn’t entirely sure what to expect. However, the insights I’ve gained into embodied practices and their integration into mental health care have been deeply meaningful. Beyond the theoretical knowledge, I’ve also been reminded of the importance of self awareness, spiritual considerations and traditional wisdom along the way. Personal growth has been an invaluable outcome. Learning this new skill has not only enriched my therapeutic toolkit but has also deepened my appreciation for other important therapeutic approaches. The experience of reaching beyond the limits of what I thought I knew has been both humbling and empowering, and I am confident it will continue to shape me into a more effective therapist and, just as importantly, a more grounded and compassionate human.
Juan Dario Velástegui (200PAP)
BIYOME has provided me with the training I missed in my foundational 350 hour training with another yoga school. I needed to be guided by Western science to get a toehold in Yogic philosophy, psychology and practice. BIYOME has provided me with the maps to understand Yoga and Eastern contemplative traditions more fully through the paths of Western science. The training I have undertaken at BIYOME has given me a sublime alternative perspective on what it is to be human – a topic that has been central to my personal and professional journeys for over 3 decades. It is a gift to hold learnings from Western psychology, counselling, social sciences and philosophy with Eastern contemplative, healing, psychological and philosophical traditions. It is fascinating to observe to areas of congruence (of which there are many) and regions of difference, even in the ways of language choice or ontology. My overall learnings have been that there is a rich diversity of approaches to being human and human wellbeing; body and mind operate as one integrated whole and health and wellbeing need to be approached from this perspective; fundamentally different traditions, sciences, approaches appear to agree that humanity creates its reality and that reality is a perspective (not necessarily “the truth”) – understanding this can help us to navigate our human lives with more compassion and grace.

I was initially drawn to this course to educate myself in Lifestyle Medicine. For years, I struggled with anxiety, depression, and chronic pain from reproductive illnesses that significantly impacted my daily life. After trying numerous mainstream and complementary treatments without lasting relief, I remembered how much better I felt when I practiced yoga. As I resumed my practice and searched for further education, I recalled seeing BIYOME’s offerings years earlier and telling my husband, “I’d love to study there one day.” Although mindfulness, meditation, and yoga had always interested me, I had never truly prioritized them. After two years of in-depth study with BIYOME, exploring both Eastern philosophy and Western science, I am now deeply inspired by this way of living and eager to share it with others seeking relief from their own suffering. To say that my 500YTT changed me, is an understatement. The training I received at BIYOME transformed my entire life, allowing me to rebuild it with intention, mindfulness, and serenity. This course was more than an education—it was a pathway to a new life. I am incredibly grateful for this gift.
C. Walton (OL500YTT)
I was drawn to this course by a deep curiosity about the intricate connection between mind, body, and spirit. While I hoped to gain tools for personal and professional growth, I could not have anticipated the profound inner shifts this journey would take me on. I hope to cultivate compassionate places where this learning can grow with my personal and professional spaces. I have learnt about presence and compassion the most. It has given me a foundation to explore these concepts further practically.
Nicholas Sawers (200PAP)
Beginning with the unknown and curiosity, I gradually stepped into the new realm of meditation at BIYOME. The environment at BIYOME is truly perfect for meditation and healing, and all the teachers are extremely professional and attentive to each of us students. A special thanks to CELIA for the encouragement and support she provided me during my learning journey. Over two years of learning and reflection, I have gained a fresh understanding of it. Meditation has transformed my physical well-being and provided me with new perspectives on life, as well as a higher level of self-awareness.
Tina Wu (660MTT)
I’m so grateful I completed this program through BIYOME, the online content was rich and so informative, and the in-person intensives were a profound way to embody the learning
Ericka Mira (200PAP)
I am very glad I decided to take the 200PAP course with BIYOME. The clinical skills training component with Diana equipped me with insight into the complexities of the nature of this work, along with a roadmap forward by way of resources, and gaps in my knowledge base to remedy. The slow, grounded and compassionate nature of the teachings has provided an opportunity to learn deeply through an embodied experience. Celia has collaborated with a number of professionals working on the ground in this field who have each imparted important knowledge with our cohort either in person or through webinar. I am also glad to have had the opportunity to choose electives to study with BIYOME; further equipping me with mind/body practices to support individuals in this context. Thank you to all who came together to deliver this program.
Samantha O'Connor (200PAP)
To broaden my practice beyond physical asana and to improve my own daily practice. This course has been instrumental in me being able to sit with my mind, notice and be attentive to it's workings and observe them. this in turn has lead me to a deeper personal practice and more peace and tranquility in my daily life. Now my aim is to practice creating some meditation classes to further my understanding and hold space for others wishing to gain more equanimity beyond the physical yoga practices. This course has been a game changer in my own path to compassionate connection with myself, and ultimately to my clients and beyond - it's just the beginning but I am eternally grateful for the gift of Celia Roberts as my teacher, and all the other amazing teachers involved in the BIYOME programmes. Thank you

Celia’s teachings were initially recommended to me by my yoga teacher and friend who spoke highly of the authenticity of BIYOME and the varied course offerings. My intentions for participating in YTT were not to teach; but to learn and embody what it means to live Yoga as a lifestyle. Among other studios, I chose to take some casual classes with BIYOME to feel into the energy of the space and Celia as a teacher/guide and I was nothing short of inspired. I knew from the presence of Celia that she was who I wanted to guide me on this journey. My experience did not disappoint, and I am honoured to have had the opportunity to be guided by teachers of such quality. I thoroughly enjoyed Celia’s approach to teaching. She truly honoured the foundations and essence of the Yogic path, incorporating theory, tangible practice and demonstrating all limbs of what it means to live Yoga as a lifestyle. The theoretical component provided was phenomenal. With information resourced from such a vast scope of channels, the authenticity and integrity of this training is undeniable. The quality of the content, along with the immense knowledge shared by Celia and the other teachers and professionals, has been nothing short of inspiring. Not only has this course provided more understanding of Yoga; with Celia’s expertise and presence, my experiences participating in this training has taken me further into the depths of myself than I believe I would have otherwise been taken had I of studied elsewhere.
Samantha Maree (200YTT)
I initially came to this course with a deepening interest in yoga. Not necessarily to teach, but to increase my knowledge with a likeminded community. I wanted to further use this knowledge in my daily life, both professionally, personally and within my community. What I found was Celia’s beautiful space which always made me feel like I am on a nature retreat. Celia herself, with her vast knowledge, experience, intelligence, sense of humor, discernment, natural beauty and compassion. The group of women and men, both students and teachers who I adore for all these similar reasons. And last, but certainly not exhaustive, the understanding that I have begun a journey of a lifetime. I came to this course in ego and ignorance. I leave this course touched with an understanding of the vast layering this ancient practice brings, and the commitment required to further my practice, but mostly, why I want to further my practice. I am very grateful to Celia and her teachers for sharing their incredibly knowledge and immense energy in a safe, comfortable learning environment.
Danielle Plowman (200YTT)
Embarking on a learning journey with BIYOME was recommended to me by a yoga mentor that I trust as she offers an authentic, compassionate presence. Learning of Celia’s approach in integrating science with spirituality – always honouring traditional and Indigenous forms of knowledge and science was the reason I felt confident to learn from her. I had not imagined the level of collective care that I would experience with my peers and teachers in the BIYOME community. I have found a special place in the family of things thanks to those I have journeyed with. I have been challenged in ways I had not foreseen yet had felt supportive and empowered to overcome certain fears by the trust of Celia and other teachers. Yoga & Meditation Teacher Training has strengthened the sun, water and nourishment of many seeds planted in my life. Personally, I feel a steadiness and solidity within that I had not sensed before. While still continuing my journey, I feel both personally and professionally – I feel more confident in myself, I give less attention to fear that does not need to be held on to.
Lori Waghorn (350YTT)
From the outset, there seemed to be a genuine and satisfactory acceptance that this course represented what I truly believed to be correct. By this I mean that Yoga practice and the related disciplines have a real and appreciable consequence on physical and mental health and wellbeing – foremost attributes when considering ‘lifestyle.’ And to be fair, the ability to study at a convenient and controllable pace added to the value of the course. So, this, too, became a lifestyle benefit. I have particularly enjoyed the integration of anatomical knowledge with practical applications, the endless possibilities of positive meditation exercises, and the beautiful language, traditions and joyful spirit of the Yoga way of life. Goals for the years to come that can be shared with others. Satisfaction at creating a practice, safely leading like-minded people and helping to enhance their lives through the same spirit of achievement and mindfulness. Namaste
John Thacker (OL200YTT)
Upon reading the course introduction, I felt a surge of excitement and curiosity, forming an initial idea of where this journey might lead. Throughout the course, I was pleasantly surprised not only by the wealth of content provided but also by the intuitive and engaging structure of the journey. This approach deepened my understanding of the mind-body connection and the science underpinning it. BIYOME excelled in explaining the intricate workings of the mind-body connection through a scientific lens while seamlessly integrating traditional yoga principles. This holistic approach demonstrated that modern science and ancient yoga wisdom can complement each other, enriching our practice and understanding. The course’s unique blend of scientific rigor and traditional knowledge made my journey with BIYOME exceptionally enlightening and transformative.
Karen Pasquel Bustamante (OLUP350YTT)
Having previously completed HLL courses with Celia, I chose to complete the UP350YTT at BIYOME, because it would significantly impart excellent knowledge to inform best teaching practices and provide an incredible immersion experience for personal development. Practically I required the qualification upgrade for Level 1 status. I looked beyond the measure of cost when comparing training options and was particularly drawn to BIYOME because the course content is exceptional with a unique lens, promoting lifestyle medicine. I highly appreciated having the content presented by a variety of leading experts in their specific areas. There is an extensive theoretical component to the course, which I particularly valued and I highly recommend taking the extra time to consider the extracurricular components offered in each section of the course. Finally, I highly valued the weekend immersions which offers students time to experience the wisdom and teachings. For me, the destination is unknown. But I do know I want to stay on this path and submit my application for 650YTT Master of Biomedical Yoga Therapy, Meditation & Allied Health with completion of this course.
Louise Overell (UP350YTT)
I started my journey with Biyome wanting to deepen my personal practice as I had found many health benefits from regular practice and the possibility teach other people at the end. Coming from a science background I really appreciated the perspective Biyome took with combining traditional and modern methodologies with a biomedical informed basis. Little did I know the depth that the course truly offered, there was always opportunity to learn more and deepen my experience and the genuineness of the teachers and the extent of their experience blew me away. It awakened in me a passion for mind body medicine that was always there but just could never find the current to which merged ancient wisdom and modern science and made sense of it. It also was a healing journey for me, where I able to experience practices that helped me process emotions and trauma that I held to tightly in my body and see my samsakaras and begin to embody the practices of changing these patterns- nava sharira samskara and nava manas samskara with deep compassion for myself. I want to continue this journey not just for myself, but my family and community to offering a space of compassionate connection to feel whole in themselves.
Erin Slater (OL500YTT)
I was drawn to this course as it combines both Eastern and Western philosophies of Yoga. Understanding the biomedical aspects really helped my brain allow my body to really release into yoga, meditation. I was able to release a lot of emotions I didn’t even realise I was holding on to. I wasn’t sure if I wanted to teach coming into the course, now I’m so excited to teach and help others feel at ease within their mind and body by assisting them in finding that connection. I feel much more in-tune with my emotions and body since completing this course. It felt like a year of therapy, and I am forever grateful for the experience.
Lindsey Miller (350YTT)
As I had previously studied Meditation with Celia and practised with her, I knew how incredibly rich this experience would be. This teacher training has offered so much more beyond the scope of what I thought Yoga was. It has introduced me to a wonderfully diverse cohort of beautiful humans and allowed me to explore at my own pace and begin to understand the complex tapestry of Yoga from the ancient perspective along with modern science. I feel as though my original ‘overwhelm’ has transformed into ‘opportunity’. There is such an extensive amount of literature and learning that I am so grateful to have access to. I am confident in teaching from my heart rather than being stuck in the fear of not knowing enough.
Rachel Therese (200YTT)
The holistic approach of BIYOME’s teacher training course immediately captivated me, as it resonated deeply with my personal journey towards holistic well-being. The blend of eastern and western philosophies with modern science felt like a perfect fit for my values and aspirations. Throughout my journey with BIYOME, I experienced profound transformation that exceeded my expectations. The teachings, coupled with the outstanding support of all the teachers, not only enriched my practice but also shifted my perspective on life. Their guidance and encouragement were instrumental in my growth, helping me navigate challenges and celebrate successes. As I reflect on my time with BIYOME, I am filled with gratitude for the opportunity to attend a course where individuals feel supported on their journey towards healing and self-discovery.
Lesley Barthelme (200YTT)
I am grateful that I have allowed myself to undertake this course as person with no prior background. It has not been easy with full time work, a young family, and no training in health or sciences. So for me, it’s life-changing learning. I foresaw that this journey would provide me a new sets of knowledge and skills that can apply across of range of areas in my personal and professional life – I am still putting the pieces of the puzzle together in terms of where this might lead specifically. This training has truly been a gamechanger. I have come away with a real sense of what mindful living means – to be in tune with nature, the body and mind, as an intuitive observer. To be person who is compassionate, forgiving, connected and peaceful. To live these values every moment. I have a better ability to recognize suffering, and it’s causes in myself and others. I hope that sharing this understanding will also help others find peace and calm in their lives.
Raynee Dewar (110MTT)
I was drawn to Biyome course through a twofold desire to receive a qualification to begin a new phase of my life in teaching Meditation and Mindfulness and to work on my own connection to self, to relieve my own anxiety and to find compassionate connections in my life. I honestly had no preconceived ideas of what a meditation course might look like, and I certainly didn’t foresee the path it would put me on. As a novice meditator the initial sessions were difficult and I need to constantly work hard to bring my mind back to my body, my breath. Practicing daily has now given me a respite from the hustle and bustle of my stressful life, it's something I look forward to and find refreshing. I think of it as exercise for my emotional wellbeing. Biyome’s meditation teacher training course has provided me with a path to emotional regulation, calmness and a sense of spiritual wellbeing that I have been delighted to discover. Professionally I hope it will open up doors to a new meaningful career where I can feel that what I do actually touches people and helps them on their own mental health journey.
Mark Farrell (OL110MTT)
I was initially drawn to the YTT350 at BIYOME as a way to deepen my own practice. My yoga teacher, who incidentally had not attended BIYOME, recommended BIYOME to me on the basis of what she had heard about the course. To be honest, I had no idea what I was really getting myself into but can say, hand on heart, it was a decision guided by those who had my welfare at heart. Every class, every reading, has taken me deeper into the life affirming practice of yoga. It has been a year of riches, so much so that I find myself, after working through self-doubt, teaching! Teaching and keen to continue to grow as a teacher but also in all aspects of my life. It truly has been a transformative experience. I can’t thank Celia, the amazing teachers that she works with, and my fellow students for the time spent together and the wisdom given.
Meg Quinn (350YTT)
My journey with BIYOME was beyond my expectations and dreams. Training and education for me has always been competitive and rigid. Not at all at BIYOME. I have never felt so free to learn, explore and try out new techniques. I also learnt a lot about myself and others. I have changed. I have gained beautiful friends, a network to support and guide as well as a studio to return to learn and immerse myself more I this diverse field of study and practice, I have also become less focused on the busyness of life and the expectations of the success notion- being settled and calm in the now with a steady focus on lifelong learning and love of life and yoga. Thanks Celia, and all who have been part of this journey. It has been an honour and great privilege.
Amanda Banks (UP350YTT)
Feeling calm, a deep sense of joy, and connected with myself (and others) has always been very important to me. I didn’t realise this course would help integrate so much of my way of being, my life, bring so many answers to “why I might react the way I do” – or in relation to others. The range of teachers – including Founder, Celia Roberts, but also the other teachers from across various disciplines and streams of expertise – provided for a very well rounded experience of so many aspects of personal leadership and meditation, and navigating so many facets of the self. I expected to be taught and learn a lot along the way – I don’t think I expected a profound reshaping of my own deep internal architecture. I will be feeling its affects for many years into the future. The other aspect of being a student on this “teacher training” – is a deep appreciation of being a student, and how to gain the most from teaching on offer – and the desire to be a student for the rest of my life.
Chantal Roelofs (660MTT)
I have practiced yoga personally for many years and have always been drawn to completing my yoga teacher training. This course offered exactly what I had been looking for in terms of flexibility and understanding of yoga. As a health professional, I appreciated the well-balanced – evidence-based and traditions of yoga approaches that incorporates both the Eastern philosophy and the Western, medical approach. I knew that it would be a way for me to connect deeper with myself which is also what I was drawn to, and after completing this course has awakened my desire to contribute to others in a way I could not have imagined before. Completing the BIYOME course has enabled me to understand my own inner values and to connect with others using compassionate awareness. This has been invaluable for me professionally working alongside people in healthcare. Personally, my yoga and meditation practice has become a part of me, giving me a deeper meaning and purpose to my own life than I had thought possible. Thank you all so much!
Lisa Surch (OL200IYTT)
Initially I was draw to this course because of the combination of teaching around the Ancient Science of Yoga and the Western Biomedical Model and I had also heard that Biyome had a good reputation from other yoga instructors. Whilst I was interested in learning more about yoga I did not expect how deeply it would have an impact on my own personal emotional, spiritual, social and physical wellbeing. The training has given me a greater trust in myself and tools to navigate the ups and downs of life with more grace, courage and presence. Thank you, Celia, for this amazing course it far exceeded my expectations and was life changing!
Amalia Savini (350YTT)
During a period of chronic illness, it was recommended that I meditate. I immediately connected with the practice and found it helped manage the isolation and symptoms I was experiencing at the time. However, 5 years on I was still not well and decided to reach out to BIYOME to see if they could help. I’m not really sure what I expected but what I have received has been so much more than I ever hoped for. I am now FULLY recovered and studying meditation teacher training. My regular private consultations with Celia Roberts have been a major contributor to my recovery and I will forever be grateful for all the support and guidance she has given me along the way. It’s not easy, but it is possible to heal yourself! As part of my training, I am now running mediation classes for family and friends and find great joy in sharing all that I have learnt. I don’t know what the future brings but meditation will be there. When I reflect on all that I have learnt and experienced through BIYOME, my words feel insufficient. Brene Brown says it beautifully: “Only when we are brave enough to explore the darkness will we discover the infinite power of our light”.
Joanne Dwyer (330MTT)
I was searching for a course from a reputable provider with a unique perspective. BIYOME offered a comprehensive and dynamic course that stood apart from others available at the time. I know I made the right choice for my own education with BIYOME. It has been fascinating to learn about yoga from a biomedical perspective, and I feel confident in the application of these teachings moving forward. I hope to continue small and intimate practice alongside friends and family, and to slowly build my little community. My journey with BIYOME has been deeply gratifying. Having initially enrolled during a transitional period in my life, the experience has not only enhanced my knowledge and practice but also enriched me personally and given me a new perspective on life.
Aleah Cullen (OL350YTT)
Initially attracted to this course as a way to blend yoga practice with previous allied health knowledge and skills, mindfulness and meditation teaching experience, and empathic connection to better support individual students with complex needs. Was pleasantly surprised with how grounded this was in yogic philosophy and health, and the flow-on to personal practice of asana and meditation. As a yoga teacher and a support for university students experiencing various mental and physical challenges, the learnings from this course are relevant across many individuals in both settings. Best way to explain change is as more ‘soulful’ and holistic than before and with much greater appreciation for the roots of yoga practice as I embody it.
Kim Thompson (OL500YTT)
Thank you very much for this great course! Originally, I was looking for an online 350 hrs yoga course. I was drawn to this particular course due to its flexibility and comprehensive program. I needed this course to deepen my own practice, reduce anxiety and improve my well-being in general. I am very grateful for the opportunity to learn from BIYOME and implement the knowledge into my own teaching. The necessity of teaching classes for the assessment made me overcome my fear of teaching others. I am looking forward to teaching in the future to a bigger community.
Ekaterina Epishina (OL350YTT)
I wanted a course that connected both Western and Eastern understanding of yoga and also focused significantly on the mental health benefits of yoga. BIYOME fit the bill perfectly and accepted my beginner level of knowledge of yoga wholeheartedly. I had no idea where this journey w/ BIYOME was going to take; I was nervous, not sure if I was the right fit for the course and whether my love for yoga would continue. But BIYOME held and supported me throughout this entire process. It reduced any fears about myself, my practice and who I can be as a yoga teacher moving forward. I know I am enough as a teacher, I now have wisdom and greater passion to share with others and yoga will continue to be a part of my life forever. Overall, the course has allowed me to accept myself more and encouraged me to challenge myself with an underlying foundation of compassion. I have learnt so much, but it has also opened to the door for me to never stop learning about the human experience of wellbeing.
Rebecca Norman (350YTT)
I loved the combination of spiritual, traditional learnings with an evidence-based approach. I come from a medical background and this feature appealed to me as it fits in with the way I currently practice, though allowing me to expand my skills in a more holistic way. I had a very clear path in term of how I wanted to use this course. Additionally, I wanted to improve my skills for myself. It has surprised me how difficult I have found my own practice, however I feel this will enable me to be more understanding and realistic with clients. The course has helped me to understand the process of meditation and to motivate me for my own practice. It has been great to learn about different types of meditation. I have put more emphasis on my own practice and the importance of accountability.

I was drawn to the 350TT course with the intrigue of knowledge toward self discovery, growth & practicing asana. I didn’t forsee a journey as such though along the way my relationship between mind & body has expanded with more acknowlegment & appreciation, care, fascination & awe toward how amazingly intricate we beings are. I am a lifelong learner who will continue to learn & grow & sharing the wisdom learnt through Biyome’s 350YTT & planting those seeds within my family, friends & the children I teach, playing a small role in the ripple effect. My way of thinking, feeling, questioning & moving has changed & is continuing to change. I am looking forward to undertaking the Electives & Higher Learning.
Angie Nichols (350YTT)
I was drawn to this course by a desire to dive deeper into meditation practice and theory. With a background in theology and fascination with psychology and neuroscience, the BIYOME course caught my eye with it’s breadth of topics and perspectives. I haven’t really foreseen where this journey was taking me, I approached the course with an open and curious disposition, and it has been a joyful process of learning and discovery. Though I had read, watched and listened to many teachings on meditation previously, the structured, logical approach employed by BIYOME has helped draw together many loose threads and prompt new paths for enquiry. I have enjoyed integrating simple practices into my work with school kids, it’s great to have the research base to validate these practices with a sometimes reluctant audience. The initial 110MTT course has opened my eyes to the potential benefits of meditation and mindfulness practice to enhance personal wellbeing. The 4-day retreat was a significant experience, providing the time and space to engage in meditation for a sustained time without distraction. This has certainly strengthened my dedication to daily practice and further study.
Mark Philpott (330MTT)
I have arrived to yoga through my meditation practice, and as such, for me the key interest has always been the connection between the mind and the body. Further discovering how one impacts the other has been a rewarding experience, that fueled my motivation to keep walking on this path. I am happy that I made a commitment to go through this course, it has been a great tool to help me establish a mindful and conscious practice. I started this training with no intention to teach afterwards, but I now feel that teaching will be a fantastic and deeply meaningful challenge on my path, which I am looking forward to. My observation is that the tradition of yoga is incredibly open to new ideas, and as such there are so many schools and directions one can take. This vastness, however, can be truly confounding, as there are no clear set rules around poses, it is all about the individual. As a beginner, this sometimes comes across as having a map that just says, follow your heart. It’s great, but first I need to learn to listen. Celia’s course helped me understand that and allowed me to find some comfort and confidence in the feeling of being lost. Maybe I’m not lost at all. Celia has been a wonderful teacher and the professionals she invited for the foundational weekends have been fantastic. I truly appreciate the experiences that I had, and I am very grateful that I had the chance to complete this course. I would like to send my love to all who was involved in making the course happen. Teachers, assistants, office staff. You are doing deeply meaningful work. May you be happy! May you be free! May you walk the path with ease!

I was initially drawn to this course because I had frequent stomach and back pain. I never thought I will do yoga teacher training course. I loved the opportunity to learn from different guest teachers. I also loved how BIYOME gave me flexibility to choose CPD I was interested in. Through this course I have had a great opportunity to experience and learn yoga and yoga therapy from Celia, which is so special and unique, I don’t think you can find anything like it anywhere else in the world. I would like to become a yoga teacher and share what I have learnt and have helped me from this course. The course has given me so much more confidence and more awareness of myself. It has helped me live my life more authentically. Thank you so much!!!
Mao Nakagawa (UP350YTT)
Out of the many YTT courses on offer in Brisbane, BIYOME appeared to have the perfect natural setting, flexible modes of delivery as well as numerous experts and knowledgeable teachers. This was exactly what I was looking for, not an ‘Instagram’ type of course that pictures athletes in unattainable asanas. At the first day of teacher training at BIYOME, I felt it was the right decision for me, and I knew that I had chosen well. I loved every minute of training at the site with such inspirational teachers and people who leave you in awe. The content taught at BIYOME was very comprehensive however I feel like I have just scratched the surface. This has sparked my desire to keep learning, reading, and deepening my knowledge and practice even more. Although I primarily completed this course for my own personal development, I am not excluding the possibility of teaching yoga in my local community one day. I have already started implementing techniques and connecting with my colleagues at work by guiding them through breathing exercises or compassionate actions. Similarly, I am assisting members of my extended family with issues I believe can be alleviated through mind-body medicine taught at BIYOME. After training at BIYOME I have the sense that I have become a more mindful, compassionate individual who has been on a transformational journey and that journey has not finished. I am hopeful I will come back to BIYOME in the future for further training.
Ana Dobrenov (200YTT)
BIYOME is a gateway to many incredible experiences and connections in the world of yoga and beyond. Their emphasis on honouring both tradition and modern science in an integrated manner was particularly special. Through BIYOME, I have developed a greater sense of being, as well as confidence in imparting the teachings of yoga. I have undertaken the 350 hours yoga teacher training and have gained so much more than just becoming a yoga teacher.
Hilda Wu (350YTT)
What attracted me to this course was the opportunity to learn something new, and like many, it was also approached with an intent to apply this to my personal life, to learn a new way to work on improving myself. The course presented a lot of unexpected information which challenged my thinking. Some of this fell well and some I will continue to work on in the future. The most beneficial component for me was in the introduction of yoga Nidra. Beyond this, what also stood out for me was the evidenced based nature of this course. When I could not really relate to, or grasp a concept, I was able to go back to the evidence to help further my understanding. My intent is to offer meditation in the local community, with a specific focus to support the veteran community. Beyond this, continuing a daily, focused practice will allow me to support my own mental health, with a specific consideration given to self-compassion. I have found a new level of mindfulness on a personal level, or at least an awareness of where I am not mindful. The course has also given me a different lens to see things through, to challenge my thinking or the thinking of others, and to appreciate that there are many ways to achieve deeper knowing and understanding.
Kirk Stiffel (330MTT)
As has been the case with all BIYOME courses that I have undertaken, I approached the 330MTT with little expectation of what it would be and what I would walk away with. This approach – for me – leaves me open (if not even a little ignorant )and highly receptive to the abundant teachings and opportunity for personal growth that is offered. Each teaching/subject/modality builds upon what has come before and I found that I have gradually built a layered understanding and appreciation that I am able to integrate and apply – both for myself and in my own teachings – of the multi-faceted aspects of mind-body medicine with the traditional yogic approaches. Incorporating the mind-body connection in my own classes and offering this understanding to my community is something I am very passionate about – offering the appropriate tools and techniques to facilitate a deeper understanding of the internal milieu with all its attendant benefits. My teacher training journey has seen me on a path I NEVER imagined for myself just 3 short years ago. The depth of learning, the calibre of teaching personnel and the quality, extent and abundance of relevant content is remarkable. I have experienced growth and personal insight I never thought possible and have pushed myself professionally in ways I couldn’t have envisioned before I started this journey.
Sue Stewart (330MTT)
As a practicing psychologist and yoga student, I was drawn to learn more about meditation to use in my psychology practice. I loved Celia’s approach to meditation that blended the knowledge of current scientific research, a western approach and the eastern and yogic foundations of health and well-being. From these studies I have more confidence in my meditation teaching to deliver classes and also to provide one-on-one meditation training to clients. I also feel I am able to offer a more of the eastern philosophy as knowledge and information which clients are very interested in. This is important as it is the underpinnings of what we know and utilize today in the western medical model for health and well-being. The course offered extensive options for extra readings, videos and websites to extend your practice. The intensives in-person at Brookfield provide a peaceful and beautiful space to learn. Alternatively the online streaming and/or videos provide an excellent alternative when I couldn’t make the in-person retreats. I would highly recommend this course.
Kaye Adams (660MTT)
I was drawn to this course for the balance of the traditional and modern science that is imbued in Yoga and for the fact that I could do it online and merge it with my lifestyle I was an open book when beginning this course, as a teacher really just starting I found the course to be an integral part of my journey, through the many articles, books and videos I found it to be an immensely in-depth learning adventure Through this training I have established a true beginners mind that I will continue to develop and share as I welcome others to the practices in a compassionate and safe environment Over the two years I have changed in every way, I have become more humbled, more disciplined in my studies that will continue to stay with my as an integral part of my yoga practice, I have gained confidence in my teachings and an eagerness in opening space to all and being able to offer very precise and direct practices to individuals that is backed not only by the tradition science in yoga but as well as the western science. Thank you BIYOME for being a refuge for deep learning.
Taylor Lloyd (OLUP350YTT)
When I enquired about the KYTT course I had an inkling this would lead to a pathway change for me, in career at least. What I didn’t anticipate, despite having practiced yoga for close to 15 years, was just how this path of yoga would affect my own. My studies took me to a depth of understanding that I believe I would never have gained sticking with my independent practice. The knowledge in the course alone has me leaning into my practice deeper with the intention to embody this wisdom.
Kaelen Ruland (OL200KYTT)
It has been a life changing experience that I have immensely enjoyed. I have always loved yoga and this course has helped to deepen my understanding of the practice and the science behind it.
Julienne Tatkovic (350YTT)
The BIYOME online teaching platform allowed me to explore with honesty and great inner self-reflection, than I have previously experienced in intensive short class environments. It provided a rare combination of both yogic and western modalities for exploration in a kind and gentle manner, which encouraged and stimulated greater depth and introspection. Spanning 24 months – in a self-paced manner – affords the student time and space throughout the study format to investigate further (where required); to cogitate and ‘digest’ without pressure (to listen when both the body and mind actively ‘speaks out’); and, to ‘yoke’ teachings into practice with confidence, inspiration and authenticity. Having a variety of world-class yoga and mindfulness presenters teach online in the variety of electives, in addition to a library of pre-recorded classes, enriched the ‘virtual’ experience greatly, especially during COVID lockdowns and extensive travel restrictions. My experience of learning with BIYOME has encouraged me now to practice and teach confidently with an open-mind and to springboard my journey of personal yogic learnings even further. I am very grateful to have been open to the BIYOME experience.
Kim Wettern (OL500YTT)
I liked that BIYOME had a focus from both the scientific/western perspective and the traditional/eastern perspective. Aside from this, I had no real expectations from the course. I started the course halfway through (with those who were already 200hr trained) and found that a bit challenging at the beginning. I however do not believe this hindered my training at all – it was just a pretty abrupt jump in the deep end! I loved the intensives and the retreat, this was a really interesting way to delve deeper into topics of interest to the student. It was a great way to meet like-minded people, to experience a deeper practice and to really delve into the studies. I loved that the course was delivered from an experiential level. This facilitated a personal experience of growth and understanding and deepening of my own practice, which I was then later able to apply through the coursework from a teaching perspective. The incredible thing is, even though the course is fantastic value for money from an experiential perspective, and at the end of it all you receive a certificate that enables you to share this beautiful gift with others!! I feel eternally grateful for Celia and the other teachers, for my friends for recommending BIYOME, and for myself for making the choice to pursue this course. I am so much more aware of myself, my body and mind, tools and techniques to make positive changes to my wellbeing, and a deeper understanding and appreciation for yoga.
Danielle Andlemac (350YTT)
The intriguing mix of both a scientific and a classical approach to the subjects initially drew me to study this particular foundation course. As a committed practitioner of both yoga and meditation for many decades before commencing this course, I was hoping for the opportunity to deepen my understanding rather than to actively pursue a vocational goal. My journey through this BIYOME course has been surprising in that my commitment has definitely strengthened, my passion reignited, and future prospects have broadened in possibility. My intention to integrate a mind-body approach through my yoga and meditation practice has gradually been realised through conversation and engagement in whatever life experiences I find myself. Friends have enquired further, some seeking specific guidance while others in the community have witnessed my ongoing development. Hopefully, seeds will continue to be planted as this personal and social interaction develops in all its transformative power. The BIYOME training has consolidated my commitment and abiding love for these practices that have long been part of my life. While teaching may eventuate in the future, having as I do a professional background in that area, I am content for it to evolve in an organic manner rather than to force it. In terms of change, compassion is very clearly the touchstone in my life now, increasingly non-judgemental in nature and infinite in scope. Gratitude flows more freely now as fears and insecurity become more insubstantial. The evolution of consciousness on a social as well as global scope somehow becomes more possible. Heartfelt thanks extended to all the BIYOME team.
Wendy Mills (OL200YTT)
My journey with BIYOME’s teacher training has honestly been life-changing and I look forward to continuing to learn and grow alongside Celia & the team! There comes a point in life when you’re given a choice to listen and follow your heart’s calling or to continue on your current path. I can wholeheartedly say I will be forever grateful for tuning in and choosing to pursue studies in yoga and meditation with Celia and BIYOME, which have not only deepened my own practice and understanding, but also redirected my life’s work and opened doors I never knew existed. I have always been fascinated by how the brain and mind works in relation to the body and having had the opportunity to work in creative content roles within neuroleadership-based startups, studying with Celia & BIYOME felt like the perfect fit due to the integrated, biomedical, evidence-based approach on offer, which mixes eastern philosophy and teachings with western science and innovative studies. This training is truly an invitation to be at the forefront of the emerging and natural evolution whereby the benefits of yoga and meditation that have been known to and embodied by practitioners for over 5000 years, are being researched, studied, and implemented in mainstream support systems through a collaborative, holistic approach that views yoga and meditation as lifestyle medicine. This integrated approach is the way forward for yoga and meditation becoming more mainstream, not only for individuals but also in professional business settings as well and it really solidified my decision to undertake this teacher training. Thank you, Celia. Thank you to each and every individual in the admin and student support teams. Here’s to my next step – achieving my 500YTT and beyond!
Melissa Van Deventer (OL500YTT)
What originally drew me to the Meditation as Lifestyle Medicine Course was BIYOME’s approach of understanding both Eastern and Western views of meditation and mindfulness. Understanding both the traditional and modern perspectives of meditation and mindfulness are important to me. However, specifically, I felt that BIYOME was looking at these two elements through a yogic lens, in a way that was embracing and marrying the two perspectives into a user-friendly approach for a practitioner/teacher. I was wanting to further my education in meditation and broaden my view to include a thorough understanding of culminating traditional practices and evidence-based science into an elegant teaching methodology, and BIYOME provided this. I am an experienced practitioner in natural medicine and yoga therapist, and I wanted to continue my professional development, and I love learning so I appreciate very much the thorough tuition that has been provided in this course. It not only has served to reinforce my current education, personal practice and teaching but has further strengthened my foundation, yet allowed me the scope to remain open to further learning.
Rebel Tucker (OL110MTT)
I had been looking for a reputable Australian online yoga teacher training for some time. Celia's YTT in mind-body medicine and personalised biomedical yoga resonated strongly with me. Originally, my goal was simple: to complete my 350YTT and earn a recognised qualification. But very early on in the course I discovered that I was going to achieve so much more than that. I have learned so much more than I ever expected - it has been a transformational journey that has enriched my personal practice and my outlook on life. It has given me so much knowledge and tools in mind-body integration that I hope to offer to others within my community. It has opened my eyes to a whole new world and I cannot wait to continue sharing this with others and continue on my journey towards enlightenment.
Averyll Loft (OL350YTT)
As a health practitioner, I wanted to gain a deeper understanding of meditation and mindfulness and how it is used to assist people with complex trauma. I was/still am blown away by the amount of research and content offered within this course, after completing a bachelor and masters I still believe this course was at the highest standard. I am a social worker who has worked with trauma survivors for ten years, I went into this course not knowing that I would develop more knowledge on trauma, I have already started to use this content within my practice, myself, my client and my colleagues have all developed a passion for understanding the brain/body connection. I cannot sum into words the life changing impacts this course has had on me, however Sati (Mindfullness), Sampajanna (Alertness) and Atappa (Ardency) are part of my everyday wellbeing.
Ebony Quilty (110MTT)
I was fascinated by this particular teacher training as it draws from both biomedical and eastern philosophical models and has such a variety of specialized teachers from a diverse set of fields. I hadn't originally thought to complete this course to learn more about the Yogic philosophy and further my mindfulness practices, however, by the end of this course, I was feeling deeply inspired to get out and teach classes. I could not recommend Biyome Yoga teacher training more highly. The content was thoughtfully curated, beautifully presented and taught with a deep sense of respect and care for the practice and the students. I have found a deep sense of my inner intuition, strength, and perception. I feel as though I have gained a strong foundation and set of key skills that I can now take forth into the world whether on my own mat or in a classroom setting. I look forward to many more teacher trainings with Biyome and expanding my knowledge.
Imogen Abandowitz-Luckhardt (200YTT)
Since I have been practicing meditation for many years, there are significant changes within myself physically, psychologically, and spiritually. I am willing to help others to fulfil their life with an abundance of love, happiness, and compassion. So I searched online and found the BIYOME institute. They offer 330MTT Meditation as a Lifestyle Medicine which is exactly what I am looking for. My goal for this journey was to learn and understand the different approaches between east and west towards the practice of meditations and the science behind the theology of mind-body connection and compassion. In this twelve-month journey with BIYOME, I learned much more than I expected. A great deal of information, scientific articles, and texts have been offered in this course. The knowledge I learned through this course is substantial. BIYOME is a high-standard, well-established, very professional institute. The teachers are highly qualified, they give their students professional training and I am extremely satisfied with my studies. BIYOME Yoga/ Meditation teacher training has given me sufficient knowledge, confidence, and teaching techniques to help people with my knowledge and skills.
Jenny Yu (OL330MTT)
The course has been completely life changing in so many ways, I have learnt so much about myself becoming so much more aware of my thoughts, actions, and outlook. What I thought was important was actually not. My journey from a learning prospective has been quite unprecedented, I have learnt so much from so many amazing teachers, I have been completely inspired and humbled to be part of other students journeys too.
Tina Heelis (350YTT)
This was an amazingly informative course that was a perfect blend of science, body and mind! It was easy to understand, apply and translate into my personal practice and my professional practice.
Sarah-Louise Herring (OL660MTT)
Biyome has inspired me. I have gained so much throughout this course and surprised myself by quickly adapting to the complex language that is used. I loved discovering the science behind the practice and the way Biyome broke the lessons into East and West simplified the course content for me. The online platform (like the webpage) is well designed, easy to use and navigate. It allowed me to study using several different devices. The content was engaging, the additional material interesting, and the option to extend ones knowledge on each subject was great. I would like to thank everyone at Biyome from Celia to the creator of the online spaces. The video's were also great and I enjoyed working through them at my own pace. Thank-you again and as soon as possible I would like to visit Biyome and the beautiful space the Celia has created.
Ingrid Hansson (OL350YTT)
Having Practiced with Celia for a while I was always intrigued as a then client to the wealth of biomedical knowledge that she had when practicing our Asana. I felt it helped my cognitive brain understand what was happening to me on an experiential level. I wanted to see how modern science lifestyle medicine integrated with ancient yogic science and therefore my interest in Biyome was heightened. I had found no other course that integrated the two models of lifestyle medicine so well. To teach is to learn and to learn is to teach. Studying with Biyome has been an experience which has altered my perception of self, life and literally the universe. It has in many ways been a coming back to home. Compassionate care in connection with others has been the biggest learning outcome for me in caring for myself on a personal level and the natural extension of that to the wider community. Yoga and meditation has had huge beneficial and lasting effects on my own personal health and to share this is the greatest gift. I look forward to continued learning.
Lindsay Meyer (200YTT)
I will admit I was originally drawn to BIYOME's 150 hr upgrade due to the fact I have a very busy life and this course is offered 100% online. That confessed, I have to say I am have been very impressed by the high quality of this course. Comprehensive information in different formats, well laid out in the online format for a fantastic learning experience. I shall certainly be incorporating my knowledge gained from this course into the classes I teach, I fact, I already am. I also now have the confidence to seek out students who wish to take private lessons. Overall, I feel like a far more "well rounded" yoga teacher through my experience with BIYOME.
Clare Evans (OLUP350YTT)
I was drawn to the course as it offered a broad perspective on yoga and meditation that was inclusive of both the traditional and modern fields of knowledge. I undertook the course not as a beginner but as a yoga and meditation teacher of 13 years. My original training is as a Satyananda yoga instructor, which is quite a traditional path. What I wanted was to expand my knowledge, and BIYOME has helped me to do just that. The compassionate approach to teaching really resonated with me as taught through BIYOME. I hope to bring more of this approach into my yoga and meditation classes. This also includes cultivating self compassion within ones own practice, which is such a wonderful lesson to remember and cultivate. Overall this course has allowed me to increase the depth of reflection that I bring into my personal sadhana, as well as within my own teaching practice. I hope to draw from the BIYOME pool of knowledge that I have been opened through this course to in an ongoing way. Om and Thanks thus far.
Krishna Thorburn (Sanyasi Krishnachaitanya) (OL330MTT)
Yoga teacher training with BIYOME has taught me to be compassionate towards myself and towards other. BIYOME has provided me with a great understanding of mind-body connection that I can now observe in my own practice. I can now also see the benefits of implementing breathing techniques into my practice, depending on what I need to achieve. Understanding some of the benefits of yoga and meditation definitely motivates me to practice (almost) daily. Daily practice in turn keeps me within my window of tolerance ensuring that I deal with daily obstacles in a more calm and rational manner.
Kamila Hine (OL200YTT)
BIYOME’s amazing course offered us an ocean of knowledge to become an altruistic, compassionate capable meditation teacher/practitioner. Personally, I have become more compassionate and responsive than reactive dealing with other people. Professionally the course has given me the knowledge, confidence, empathy and understanding to become the best practitioner and transform my student the way I have been transformed. I highly recommend anyone who wants to become a Meditation/Yoga Practitioner to this course as it’s the Best Yoga/ Meditation course available now on the market online or face to face.
Tahmina Choudhury (OL110MTT)
I was first recommended to BIYOME, previously YIMI, by one of the instructors at the studio I attended. Upon reviewing the curriculum I knew that I had found the place where I would like to embark on my yoga teacher training journey. The whole road into the wholistic health profession has been very organic for me, and a big part of that is attributed to Celia, with the way she structures the courses, provides us with a diverse array of teachers and empowers us with relevant, scientifically verified and most importantly, immediately applicable knowledge and a skillset that can be utilised straight out of the gate. I would whole-heartedly recommend BIYOME’s offerings to anyone whose interest has been piqued, regardless of their previous background or experience. The yoga teacher training course has allowed me to deepen my experience from an on-again-off-again yoga practitioner to that of a confident, competent instructor with the tools to spread the phenomenal qualities of yoga to others, and I’m certain it can do the same for you.
Luke Maurice (350YTT)
BIYOME provides a vast amount of theory and practice teaching that have expanded me – the short meditations are particularly useful! It’s difficult to describe how I’ve changed, because I don’t feel any different. Meditation makes subtle shifts in your mind, and changes you from the inside out. All my life, I thought I didn’t obtain an experience because I didn’t “feel it”, but now I realise it doesn’t matter – you don’t have to feel anything, it works regardless… you notice it later!
Deanna Herbst (350YTT)
I have loved the course and the resources and feel as though there is a lifetime of learning in the materials... Often when I read a piece, I would think, "I must come back to that". I'm sure this must be the case for many of your students. Being from interstate and therefore not able to do the course in person, the high quality and accessibility of the work produced by the Institute has been invaluable and a real boost during our extensive COVID lockdowns... my heartfelt thanks to Celia and the team at BIYOME for the high quality of the work you do.
Anne Duggan (OL350YTT)
I was drawn to this particular course because of the melding of eastern and western knowledge for a thorough understanding of the biopsychosocial elements of yoga. I believed that I would gain greater knowledge in yogic philosophy and asana practice, as well as greater understanding of how this has been shown to assist biomedically from a western perspective, but I did not foresee my own personal journey to understanding myself better and how I have opened up to knew ideas that have allowed me to grow spiritually and psychologically. I now understand the importance of not separating asana practice as an physical exercise from the mind-body connection. I also understand the importance of breath work and how this relates to both the body and the mind. I hope to pass this knowledge on to others and to bring a more holistic approach to the yoga experience as a teacher. I feel myself more whole and I look forward to continuing what I see to be a life-long journey of discovery.
Belinda Redmond (350YTT)
"They say that the right things come to you in life when you are really ready for them. I concur. Having investigated and researched yoga teacher training facilities around Brisbane for a while now, I am so delighted that I have ended up doing my training with Celia at BIYOME. I have found the place that is right for me, right now. Celia connects us with teachers and leaders in their fields who bring their own wealth of knowledge, life experience and passion for their particular subject to present to the students in an intelligent, joyful and meaningful way. Celia's own background is extensive and she incorporates and shares her vast knowledge in a flowing practical experience which makes for superior learning outcomes. The course content is widely drawn and allows the student to gain an understanding of each topic from both the Eastern (philosophical/traditional) aspect and the Western (bio-medically/scientifically supported) aspect. The opportunity to delve as deeply as the student wishes is fully supported and encouraged with seemingly limitless resources made available. Whether the student chooses to do this training with the prospect of working in the relevant fields or simply to deepen their own practice of yoga and meditation, there can be no doubt that the experience will be life-enhancing. And did I mention...this is all conducted at Celia's glorious hill-top studio surrounded by nature and the constant sound of bird-song and the wind sighing in the trees. There can't be a better location to immerse one-self in the practice of such enriching and life-affirming learning. I am certainly in the right place."
Sue Stewart (200YTT)
Yoga Teacher Training with BIYOME has provided clarity and started to etch out a tunnel to begin to understand how to learn this information and brought out what personally interests me and how to explore these avenues. I think i am able to be much more logical and think critically (and most importantly FOR MYSELF) about this information which I see as a huge outcome; I really started to notice over the final few weekends. And finally, confidence! even if just a little more. Basically, the lenses I use to see the information but also the world in general have been shaped quite significantly.
Angelique Cartmill (200YTT)
“I doubt there is a course out there that can ‘gift’ you as this does. Your teachers are incredible people. I have made some beautiful friendships and shall treasure this whole experience, as they don’t come around that often. Amazing people.”

"I knew when I attended the open day at Upper Brookfield that this was the teacher training for me... and I wasn't disappointed. Celia Roberts is a beautiful person and really knows her 'stuff'. Thank you to all of the teachers for sharing their knowledge and viewpoints. My attendance at the 350 hour teacher training has been a life changing experience. My life is all the more richer for participating. The Upper Brookfield venue is awesome. The depth of knowledge and passion displayed by all of the teachers is second to none. The variety of yoga styles taught gives each participant the opportunity to decide what resonates and what doesn't. The subject matter was comprehensive. The group energy was amazing. I've had the time of my life and have enjoyed every moment. Thank you and Namaste."
Ken
"This course has been so life changing and truly inspiring. It was filled with knowledge of the philosophy of Yoga, the asana practices and the anatomy. It even included the western insights and the traditions of Yoga, which I loved!"
Demi
"Thank you for the beautiful mediation course. You provided me with the information, motivation and the tools I needed to engrave mediation into my life. I don’t come from a medical background but found the integration from both the traditional methods with the modern day science finding very helpful to make it so very relevant for today. Beautiful teachers in a beautiful surrounding, I would highly recommend it to everyone."
Joyce
"I thoroughly enjoyed everything about the meditation module. It was amazing to share time and space with teachers who are so passionate and knowledgeable about their fields. I really enjoyed the course material - delving into the sutras a little deeper, and the western science side of mindfulness meditation. An amazing course - I will be back for more!"
Jaime
"I have enjoyed my learning through [this course] immensely. The amount of information and knowledge that all teachers have shared has been greatly appreciated. The required readings, class discussions and resources referred to have opened my mind to soooo much knowledge. Have loved it and am sure will continue to do so in the future. Separate to that, the support provided has been excellent. Thank YOU!"

“Dearest Celia, Thank you so much for hosting me over the weekend. What you’ve created is very inspiring and I’m heading home feeling refreshed and refueled after being in such a peaceful environment and with passionate and knowledgeable teachers.”

“Since starting Meditation with Celia, I feel more relaxed, balanced and in control of my thoughts on a daily basis. I never knew it was possible to achieve this state of mind. Having recently gone through a traumatic event, meditation has allowed me to deal with the problem, and ‘sort my head out’. I love going to Celias Meditation ½ day retreats especially, its such a warm, and pleasant environment, and I always feel happier, and peaceful when I leave. Thank You Celia.”
Jeanette Johnstone, Kenmore, Brisbane,Qld
“I have so much gratitude for Celia guiding us deeper into the practice, and the impact it has had on me as an individual has actually given me the motivation to explore teaching. I feel a real humbling at how universal Yoga practice can be, Celia has attracted so many diverse students. From so many professional backgrounds and different motivations for how they'll each apply the knowledge. I feel perfectly placed to have a solid foundational understanding of Yoga History, Yoga Practice and understanding what the potential for Yoga and meditation as a lifestyle medicine. I'm only three months in and I can't want to see where the rest of this training will take me."

"Hi Celia, Just wanted to say thank you for the knowledge and inspiration you shared yesterday at the retreat. I enjoyed it immensely and did such a lovely practice and meditation last night which was really enhanced by the retreat earlier in the day. I have been feeling fantastic today and I am teaching a class this afternoon and will be doing my own meditation this evening. So looking forward to it!"

"My experience of yoga with Celia has been great...not only is she an amazing teacher she intuitively knows what’s needed on an individual level as well as for the group she is working with. Her knowledge & education of the different chakras & how they relate to different parts of the body is an added bonus for me! "

“I embarked on my teacher training a little daunted about studying online, not sure what to expect. Celia and her team put me at ease and provided all the materials I needed. They were always there to help and offer advice when I needed it. The space online learning provided me was so valuable enabling me to deepen my practice and understanding at my own pace. Yoga for me is a practice of going in, connecting with your mind, body, breath and spirit so taking this journey with my teacher Celia felt only natural. Now I am upgrading my yoga hours as well as starting the meditation course all the way from England and I am so excited and grateful.”
