CPD02 Evidence Informed Yoga Nidra (Online)
An Online Continuing Professional Development Specialty Intensive

Richard Miller
Yoga Nidra & Neuroscience Specialty Intensive
Yoga Nidra is an evidence-informed meditation practice that has become increasingly recognised for its capacity to facilitate deep rest, conscious relaxation, and expanded states of awareness. In a society that often prioritises productivity over restoration, there is a growing need for yoga teachers, therapists, healthcare professionals, and wellbeing practitioners to understand how to cultivate profound rest while supporting the psychological, physiological, and spiritual wellbeing of those they serve.
Meaning “yogic sleep,” Yoga Nidra cultivates a dynamic state of consciousness between wakefulness and sleep. Through guided practice, brainwave activity naturally shifts into progressively deeper states of relaxation while awareness is maintained. Research suggests Yoga Nidra may support people experiencing anxiety, depression, insomnia, chronic pain, inflammation, psychosomatic disorders, stress-related conditions, and chemical dependency. With regular practice, Yoga Nidra helps cultivate resilience, deep recuperation, and a lasting sense of wellbeing.
This Yoga Nidra & Neuroscience Specialty Intensive explores both the scientific and traditional foundations of the practice. Participants will investigate the neurobiology of consciousness, brainwave patterning, and the waking, dreaming, and sleeping states while gaining a deeper understanding of how Yoga Nidra prepares the mind for higher yogic disciplines.
Combining contemporary neuroscience with classical yogic philosophy, this intensive provides a comprehensive framework for understanding the profound effects of Yoga Nidra on the body, mind, and consciousness. Participants will enrich their knowledge and develop the practical understanding needed to confidently teach Yoga Nidra with integrity, depth, and authenticity.
Ideal for yoga teachers, yoga therapists, meditation teachers, healthcare professionals, and allied health practitioners, this professional development intensive offers an evidence-informed approach to integrating Yoga Nidra into both personal practice and professional settings while deepening Self Awareness and awakening to our True Nature.
