OL350RYTT Personalised BioMedical Yoga Specialising in Restorative Yoga & Meditation (Online)

A Yoga Australia and Yoga Alliance Approved Training Course

Restorative Yoga as Biomedical & Trauma‑Informed Practice

Welcome to BIYOME’s Restorative Yoga Stream — a deeply nourishing and life‑enhancing pathway into yoga as lifestyle medicine. Restorative yoga is one of the most accessible, transformative, and scientifically supported practices available today, offering whole‑body rejuvenation and profound nervous system regulation.

The Power of Restorative Yoga

Restorative yoga is an evidence‑based therapeutic practice that bridges the gap between an active yoga class and a seated meditation session. Through gentle, prop‑supported postures and mindful breathwork, restorative yoga cultivates deep interoceptive awareness, tones the nervous system, and supports the transformation of stress, fatigue, and emotional suffering.

This gentle yet powerful modality awakens the energetic systems of the mind‑body, developing heightened sensitivity, emotional resilience, and compassionate self‑awareness. Its accessibility makes restorative yoga an invaluable tool for supporting holistic wellbeing across diverse populations.

A Therapeutic, Immersive Learning Experience

Restorative yoga provides an immersive pathway into psychosomatic medicine and the healing process. Throughout your training, you will develop proficiency in:

  • restorative asana and sequencing
  • trauma‑sensitive touch adjustments
  • accurate and precise alignment
  • correct prop usage and prop‑supported pranayama
  • the physiology of relaxation and nervous system regulation

These skills form the foundation of a therapeutic yoga practice that supports physical, mental, and emotional wellbeing.

A Biopsychosocial Approach to Yoga

BIYOME has developed a distinctive restorative yoga specialisation that integrates trauma‑informed yoga, meditation teacher training, and biomedical science. This 350‑hour pathway offers a comprehensive understanding of the biopsychosocial model — exploring how biological, psychological, and sociological factors shape health, behaviour, and healing.

Through state‑of‑the‑art, evidence‑based educational resources, you will gain a deep appreciation for the imperative nature of the mind‑body connection and its relevance to contemporary mental health.

This course is designed to be completed within 12–18 months, allowing you to study at your own pace while integrating restorative yoga and meditation into your daily life.

What Our Students Say

Hear from past and present students about their experiences with and the benefits they gained from our courses.

I have been interested in yoga for quite some time and went to classes regularly, I completed the Mastered of Biomedical Mediation through BIYOME in 2022, which was very rewarding, so I thought that the next step would be to study yoga. I have really enjoyed the journey with BIYOME, as I studied online, I found that I could work and study at the same time. I was also able to travel whilst studying as I could just log on from anywhere.
