350RYTT Personalised BioMedical Yoga Specialising in Restorative Yoga & Meditation
A Yoga Australia and Yoga Alliance Approved Training Course
Vocational Enrichment Programme: Biomedical and Trauma Informed Yoga for the Individual
Welcome to BIYOME’s Restorative Yoga Stream! Quite literally this is one of the best things you could do in your life.
Whole Heartedly: With the whole your nature, follow this gentle path to knowing within its 24 acre sanctuary setting, designed especially to restore, rejuvenate, and regenerate your good heart.
Bridging the gap between a strong yoga class and a seated meditation class, restorative yoga is an evidence-based practice that provides whole body rejuvenation and restoration. Moreover, restorative yoga has the capacity to completely tone the nervous system: deep interoceptive awareness is developed to transform suffering. Restorative yoga is a gentle way of practice, a magnificent and empowering therapeutic tool that awakens the energetic systems of the mind-body developing a heightened sensitivity and a gentle self-compassion; this then, intrinsically enhancing holistic wellbeing making it incredibly accessible to many people.

Restorative Yoga provides an immersive experience that enables all yoga practitioners to have a first-hand proficiency and adept understanding of psychosomatic medicine and the healing process. Such includes specific practices in asanas, sequencing, touch adjustments, accurate and precise alignment tutelage, correct prop usage, pranayama with Props, and the physiology of relaxation.
BIYOME has developed a unique approach to our restorative specialisation combining it with trauma informed yoga and meditation teacher training. This 350 hour course facilitates an appreciation for the biological, psychological, and sociological (biopsychosocial) aspects of yoga and meditation as lifestyle medicine that caters to improvement of physical and mental health. By delivering you the highest quality educational resources with state-of-the-art evidence-based science we endeavour to assist you in creating opportunities for adeptly understanding the imperative nature of the mind-body connection as it relates to a broader context of mental health in and beyond the 21st century.

The 350 hour Personalised Biomedical Yoga specialising in Restorative Yoga and Meditation course opens the door to becoming a level 1 yoga teacher, registered with Yoga Australia, as well as a full member of the Meditation Association of Australia over a 12-18 month time frame.
Upon completion of the 350 hour course, you will have the skills to teach a rich and informative, highly educated class to those with therapeutic needs. You will be able to understand and deliver your teachings with confidence, convey the latest biomedical research in the field to students, offer appropriate alignment cues, give touch adjustments, and teach yoga postures aided by props designed to assist with neurological feedback. You will be confident in developing heightened proprioceptive awareness in your students and give them a suitable level of control over breath, mind and body.
As a BIYOME teacher you will be able to cultivate the experience of meditation through yoga asana, harness the psychological state of flow in your classroom and offer your students the ultimate transcendental experience, described for millennia through the science of yoga.
BIYOME’s Yoga Teacher Training courses also create a unique avenue to becoming a yoga and Meditation teacher registered with Yoga Australia, Yoga Alliance, and Meditation Australia.
Upon graduation, certification with BIYOME avails the opportunity to register with either Association providing you with a globally recognised membership. Yoga Australia and Yoga Alliance provide a standard of training recognition for teachers to practice with insurance all over the world. While Yoga Australia is highly regarded in Australia and the UK, Yoga Alliance may be your registration choice should you wish to teach in the USA.
This course qualifies you as a Level 1 Yoga Teacher and able to obtain insurance to teach yoga worldwide. You will also qualify to register with the Meditation Association of Australia as well as apply for membership consideration with the Australasian Association of Lifestyle Medicine.
* The BIYOME 350RYTT is quite unique and is designed for those who are seeking gentle asana training and restorative movement-based therapy. As such, you are offered the choice of specialty intensive electives rather than attending our standard ten foundational 2-day weekends. This course is designed for those who are seeking gentle asana training and restorative movement-based therapy. While this course includes theoretical content focused on basic yogic principles, the face-to-face content is specific to the electives you choose – meaning, this specialty has limited movement training. For those seeking a comprehensive yoga training incorporating in-depth face-to-face asana with physical strength and flexibility training, BIYOME highly recommends our 500YTT Advanced Diploma. For more information please enquire or compare course outlines in detail.
