OL200YTT Yoga as Lifestyle Medicine (Online)
A Yoga Australia and Yoga Alliance Approved Training Course
Introductory Programme: Transformational Yoga for Lifestyle Medicine
Our introductory 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training program opens avenues into the world of lifestyle medicine and the deeper dimensions of yoga. BIYOME delivers high-quality educational resources that intersect evidence-based science experientially with the contemplative traditions. We create opportunities for you to understand the imperative nature of the mind-body connection as it relates to well-being in and beyond the 21st century.
Lifestyle Medicine is a rapidly growing discipline that incorporates mind-body medicine, by way of yoga and meditation, under its large umbrella, opening opportunities for registered yoga and meditation teachers to assist many toward well-being. As such, BIYOME has developed an approach to both our provisional 200-hour Teacher Training and accompanying 150-hour upgrade to full teaching registration that facilitates an appreciation for the biological, psychological, and sociological (biopsychosocial) aspects of yoga as lifestyle medicine.
Through this course, you will begin to open into the deeper dimensions of Yoga and its healing capacity through what the contemplative traditions have long acknowledged as the subtle body. Teachers employ yoga practices that advance beyond the general asana class. You will peer into awakened states of consciousness using breathwork, pranayama, meditation and self-enquiry. The study of yoga philosophy and the science of mind will aid your awakening consciousness. This course will delve into all aspects of the science and the sacred, including Mysticism, Shamanism, Yoga and Buddhism. Yoga is the Science of Self Realisation.
This course is designed to be completed within 12 months.

The 200hr programme is a provisional membership and for full teaching registration you will need to upgrade and complete the 350hr programme.
BIYOME’s Yoga Teacher Training courses also create a unique avenue to becoming a yoga teacher registered with Yoga Australia and Yoga Alliance.
Upon graduation, certification with BIYOME avails the opportunity to register with either Association providing you with a globally recognised membership.
