Your true purpose ~ Seeing yourself in all things

“One who sees all beings in their own self, and their own self in all beings, loses all fear.”

— The Upanishads

These ancient words above carry a quiet reverence. When we begin to recognise that what we meet in the outer world is an expression of our own awareness, living softens, and the world becomes our most gracious teacher.

Much of our unease arises when we mistake the passing images on the screen of consciousness for who we truly are. As Michael Singer reminds us, we project ourselves onto the screen of the Divine, seeing our own reflection mirrored back to us. The invitation is simply to cease creating struggle out of what is reflected, which is ultimately our own nature.

“To change the picture, you merely change the film, you do not attack the cinema screen.”

Nisargadatta Maharaj

When we stop trying to control or rearrange these projections of mind and simply rest as the witnessing presence, fear dissolves. In that stillness, we no longer struggle with the world or try to force change upon others.

We simply rest behind the movement of the mind, realising that ALL is already perfectly divine and whole.

May you rest gently behind the lens of your own awareness this week.

With quiet grace,

Celia Roberts
