Sensorimotor Art Therapy integrates guided drawing, somatic yoga, breathwork, and meditation to promote nervous system regulation, emotional resilience, and trauma healing. This immersive training is led by Cornelia Elbrecht, a renowned expert in Sensorimotor Art Therapy, Trauma-Responsive Somatic Practice, and Creative Healing Techniques. Cornelia combines neuroscience, somatic embodiment, breathwork, and trauma-informed facilitation, equipping participants to confidently guide safe, transformative, and deeply impactful healing experiences.
Designed for therapists, counsellors, psychologists, psychiatrists, doctors, yoga teachers, allied health professionals, and breathworkers, this course equips you to expand your professional practice and confidently guide clients toward self-expression, regulation, and holistic wellbeing.
Anchored in the biopsychosocial and neurobiological model, the program emphasises the equal importance of body, mind, and creative expression in trauma-responsive care. Participants engage in hands-on, evidence-informed techniques from sensorimotor art therapy, yoga and psychosomatic therapy, meditation, and somatic embodiment, allowing you to integrate trauma-informed creativity into clinical or therapeutic practice safely and ethically.

Comprehensive Practices

Clinical and Professional Application
Learn to integrate creative and somatic practices for supporting clients with trauma, anxiety, stress, or psychosomatic conditions, suitable for medical, clinical, and allied health environments.
Upon graduation, certification with BIYOME allows you to apply for registration with Yoga Australia, Yoga Alliance (with completion of 200 or 350 hours of core yoga teacher training). CPD points may also be claimed with other professional registering bodies.

Students will stay on-site at Cornelia’s property, a serene retreat space spanning 400 acres along the Great Ocean Road. The property features a dedicated yoga and meditation space, providing the perfect environment for immersive learning and personal reflection.
