CPD13 Kundalini Yoga – Energetic Yogic Anatomy

A Continuing Professional Development Specialty Intensive

Prana is the life force that animates all living beings. In yoga, prana is seen as the energy that flows through the body, nourishing and sustaining it. Kundalini is a type of prana that is said to lie dormant at the base of the spine. When awakened, it rises through the body’s chakras, or energy centres, bringing with it heightened awareness and spiritual awakening.

In this kundalini yoga training course, we will break down the subtle body into its parts, and you will learn how to feel or work with prana, shakti and kundalini.

Kundalini is often referred to as shakti. Shakti is the life force energy that resides within all of us. The power gives us the ability to create and manifest our desires. When our shakti is awakened, we can access our full potential and live our lives with more purpose and passion.
Prana Shakti, the Great Feminine Maternal Energy, is known to activate all of the manifest worlds. Prana is life force energy, and shakti is associated with feminine or creative energy.

Shakti is often personified as the Hindu goddesses Kali or Durga. Kundalini shakti is the dormant energy that lies at the base of the spine, waiting to be awakened. When this energy is awakened, it starts to move up the spine, activating each chakra along the way. This can lead to various experiences, from heightened awareness and spiritual awakening to clairvoyance and psychic abilities. The ultimate goal of kundalini yoga is to awaken this dormant energy and bring it up to the crown chakra, where it unites with Shiva, the divine masculine energy.

In order to awaken the kundalini in a steady fashion, one must first purify the body and mind, which is done through the regular practice of yoga and meditation. Once the body and mind are prepared, kundalini can be awakened through a variety of techniques, including pranayama (breath work), mantra (chanting) and mudras (hand gestures).

Kundalini yoga is a powerful tool for transformation. It can help us to release old patterns and beliefs that restrain its free flow of the energy and cause us suffering. It can also help us to connect with our true nature and live our lives with enthusiasm, purpose and passion.
For some, it can be a gradual process or happen very quickly, even immediately. As kundalini awakens, it brings heightened awareness and spiritual awakening.

When kundalini and shakti balance, we can live our lives with a deeper transcendental awareness and understanding, defined purpose and power. If you are ready to awaken your kundalini and harness the power of prana shakti, this kundalini yoga training course is for you.

This course will enlighten your mind and heart with pranayama (breath work) to increase your prana and kundalini energy. You will also learn kundalini meditations and mudras (hand gestures) to help you harness prana. Bandhas (energy locks) are also considered necessary in kundalini yoga. By understanding and working with prana, pranayama, kriyas (energetic actions), mudras and bandhas, you can create the conditions for kundalini to rise.

Do come on this journey with us to learn more about prana, kundalini, nadis, chakras, shakti, the ten bodies and more!
